you. However, if you are not prepared to work hard six days a week, then you may need to reconsider.

Just remember that “anything worth having in life is worth working for”. You will definitely work hard with the Insanity workout program. Still trying to decide if it work for you? We have gathered detailed information to help you decide and continue reading out review to learn more.

What is it?

The fitness program is an intense 60-day cardiovascular home-based DVD created by Shaun TIt is a total body fitness program that uses only your body weight as resistance. Therefore, you will not need any dumbbells, resistance bands, or expensive gym equipment to complete this system. Our insanity workout review will go into details on what is included on each DVD, the fitness & nutrition guide, and the pros and cons of doing this workout.

What’s Included?

  • 10 Workout DVDs
  • Elite Nutrition Plan
  • Fitness Guide
  • Insanity Workout Calendar
  • Free Online Support Tools

What makes it Unique?

What makes this program unique from any other? It is based on the concept of Max Interval Training. In traditional interval training, you are required to exercise at a high intense pace for a short period of time with longer rest periods in between. Max Interval Training reverses this concept by having you exercise at a high level of intensity for 3 minute intervals with short 30-second periods of rest in between. For these reasons our insanity reviews is rated as one of the best body conditioning solutions with this DVD collection packed with workouts that will challenge you to the extreme.  If you like getting sweaty and having that feel of exhaustion, we recommend you try this workout.  This is our unbiased opinion and you can read hundreds of stories from real users with the same experiences.

The Program

The program comes complete with the workout DVDs, a fitness guide, and nutrition guide; therefore, recognizing the fact that the combination of diet and exercise provides maximum fitness and weight loss results.

DVDs

Each DVD generally begins with a warm-up consisting of some interval sections of jogging in place, side-to-side jumping, jumping jacks, and some kicking moves. These are followed by several minutes of stretching.

The workouts are not too difficult to perform; however, what makes them “insane” is the pace of each movement and the number of repetitions you have to perform. The majority of the moves include: different variations of jumping jacks, sport-drills, lunges, push-ups, squats, plyometrics, and kickboxing.

The following is a breakdown and brief description of the ten workout DVDs.

#1 – Dig Deeper& Fit Test

This 30 minute routine will put your body to the test to see what you are made of.

#2 – Plyometric Cardio Circuit

This 42 minute routine will help you burn fat with intense lower body plyo and cardio. The plyometric drills will definitely get insane results!

Fitness Guide

Throughout the 60 day program the workout schedule changes on a weekly basis. In the first month, the following five intense workouts, each of which will have you sweating like mad,  are alternated: The Fit Test, Plyometric Cardio Circuit, Cardio Power and Resistance, Cardio Recovery, and Pure Cardio.

You will then perform a recovery week before you begin the second month which consists of a daily Core Cardio and Balance workout routine which is not as intense. This week allows your body to recover from that first month of extreme workouts, as well as to prepare it for the next month.

During the second month, you will notice an increase in intensity. The following DVDs will be introduced: Max Interval Circuit, Max Interval Plyo, Max Cardio Conditioning and Max Recovery. These DVDs are much more extreme and longer than those used in the first month and those who make it this far have lost a lot of weight and their muscle tone and mass has increased substantially by the end of this cycle.

Elite Nutrition Guide

This is a straight forward plan that includes five power meals per day, all of which have approximately 300 calories. You must pay attention to your caloric intake and determine how much you need to sustain the vigorous workouts. It allows for personalization depending on your own goals, current weight, diet, and fitness levels. You will learn how to determine your individual caloric needs by using the mathematical formula they provide. There are basic food-blocks you can apply and modify, as well.

The nutrition guide is simple and broken down into a month by month set of programs you can follow that extends over the course of the 60 day program. You will be given a meal by meal plan that allows you to choose from ten options. This is probably the best part of the entire plan and the one that promotes success rather than failure. People who follow restrictive diet plans tend to eventually quit.

This nutrition guide is designed to work in conjunction with the exercise routines. Therefore, your food intake will be increased in month two as the intensity levels increase during this time. This is important because you need more food to maintain your weight and exercise output.

We would recommend you consider adding Shakeology to your nutrition plans as well.

Pros/Cons

This program does help you lose weight and provides ton of fat burning while increasing your cardiovascular fitness within 60 days. A big plus is the fact that you do not have to purchase additional equipment. The diversity of the workout schedule eliminates boredom. We like the fact that the Elite Nutrition plan explains the importance of getting enough calories in each day to support the strenuous routines.

This program is probably suited more for those who are already at an advanced fitness level and want to improve further or for those who are at least used to a daily workout. You have to be willing to dedicate six days a week to this program, and it is not an easy one. If you are looking to increase muscle size and increase strength, this is not the program for you as there are no weights involved. While the idea is to use your own body weight, there is only a small portion dedicated to these moves.

This is a tough program and during out investigation for our insanity workout review we discovered quite a few people who have ended up with knee pain, calf injuries, and lower back pain.  This program is high intensity with plyometrics and you should make sure you are in good physical condition before you begin.  If you are really overweight this increases the odds of injury.  The pounds of pressure on your knees and lower extremities is 5 pounds to every lb you weigh.  So if you lose 10 pounds prior to doing these workouts you will reduce the pressure on your lower legs by 50 lbs!

I personally wanted to share my thoughts on this and would recommend you check with your doctor if there is any doubt.

Bottom Line

Creator Shaun T. is an excellent motivator, which is something you will definitely need in order to keep moving. If you feel you are ready to take your fitness to the next level, then this could be for you. However, if you are just getting started with a daily workout, you will want to consider another option until you are used to strenuous daily exercise.

You can try it risk free for 30 days. They offer a 30 day money back guarantee less shipping and handling– no questions asked. They divide the cost into three monthly payments of just $39.95 plus $24.95 for shipping and handling.
