Welcome to WIMA USA

WIMA, or Women’s International Motorcycle Association, was started in 1950, by Louise Scherbyn.  Here in the U.S. today, WIMA has grown into an international organization that works to promote and encourage women in motorcycling. With thousands of members worldwide and hundreds in the U.S., WIMA is now a diverse community of women motorcyclists who ride all types of machines from scooters to cruisers to dirt bikes. Women members come from all walks of life, whether they be gay or straight, married or single. And of course, we encourage the men to come along to events, as we recognize their importance in supporting their female friends, spouses and female members in their motorcycling endeavors.

WIMA holds an annual international rally.  WIMA members gather to ride, mingle and have fun. This year’s rally will be held at Cumbria University, Lancaster Campus, in Lancashire on Saturday, July 30, 2011. WIMA USA will also be holding a WIMA rally here in the U.S. starting again in 2012. Additional details to come shortly.
